Living in Limbo

One month ago I finished my last class at linguistics school for the year 2016. Since then my friend got married, my sister got married, LBT had a conference, the U.S. celebrated independence, my dad celebrated his birthday, and my mom and I moved into a new house. Life is moving so quickly, yet so slow. I could be living in Sierra Leone in nine months! I've been waiting for this for five years, but nine months feels like no time at all. It's not enough to time to be with family, but I'm itching to start my new job and life across the Atlantic Ocean. I do have responsibilities while in the U.S. - find partners to support me prayerful and financially in Sierra Leone, get vaccinated, get my visa, collect items and clothing I'll need in Africa, and learn as much as possible about missions, translation, Sierra Leone, and Mende (the language I'll be working in). Am I ready? yes...and no. But God is ready and He will be with me every step of this adventure. He died for us on the cross and rose from the dead to forgive the sins of the world. I think He can help me out :)
